What’s better than to give gifts that make life easier for the recipient?  Life can be hard so why not find products to help simplify.  While these gifts won’t automatically make everything in life perfect, they sure can make some parts easier.

1.) Clip-on Pot Strainer

This silicone strainer snaps on to almost any pot or bowl, making it a breeze to easily drain the liquid out.  There’s no need for a bulky colander.

2.) Packing Cubes

I seriously had no idea how revolutionary these packing cubes would be for my family.  I’ve always hated packing for vacations but these cubes make packing (and unpacking) so much more organized. And I absolutely love how they keep each person’s stuff together once we get to our destination.  I bought two different brands to test – Shacke Pak and AmazonBasics. Based on first impressions, Shacke Pak is the winner because the material feels more durable.  But I’ve used both brands frequently and they have held up equally well.

3.) Pot Scraper

This little tool is so simple but saves so much time.  I’ve had one for years and didn’t realize until much later how useful it is.  Now I use this pot scraper all the time.  No need to soak baked on food, just scrape the food right off.  It’s a miracle-worker on all types of dishes, pots and pans.  This is a necessity, whether you hand wash or use the dishwasher.

4.) Amazon Echo Dot

The Echo Dot is a small voice-controlled speaker.  Yes, you can listen to music but it’s so much more than just that.  Ask “Alexa” to read you the news, check the weather, set alarms or add items to a list.  You can even pair it with compatible connected devices to control the thermostat, turn off the lights or lock the door.  Alexa can be a trusty virtual assistant to organize your life and keep your home running smoothly.

5.) Power Scrub Brush

If you need some extra elbow grease, then an electric scrub brush may be the answer for you.  There are several different kinds depending on your needs.  The first kind attaches to a drill.  Yes, you read that right, a drill.  Of course, a drill is a useful tool for all kinds of home projects but I never would have thought to use a drill to clean the bathroom shower.  With these handy brush attachments (drill sold separately) you can get some serious scrubbing power to blast away mildew and soap scum.

If you don’t own a drill, don’t want to use a drill for cleaning or need an extension to reach low/high places, then a separate electric scrubbing brush is the way to go.  This spin scrubber is cordless, comes with four different brush sizes and has an extension arm to help you easily reach down low or up high.

6.) Robot Mop

This robot mop is life-changing for me.  I’m a connoisseur of vacuums and mops – I’ve tried a lot of different ones over the years.  I was hesitant to believe a robot mop could actually do a good enough job to take over this dreaded task completely.  But once I gave it a try, there is no going back.  I absolutely love the iRobot Braava jet 240 robot mop!  This mop is so easy to use and maintain.  And I love that I don’t actually need to do any work to mark this chore off my list.  For me, this is tops the list of gifts that make life easier!

7.) Meal Planning Service

Do you know someone who is always too busy or too tired to make dinner at night?  Or maybe they always eat out because they don’t know how to meal plan?  Whatever the reason, a meal planning service can save so much time and money.  Most meal planning services are customizable and include grocery shopping lists that help make another chore easier.   One service I love is eMeals.  eMeals has a HUGE variety of plans to fit just about any lifestyle and they offer a free 14-day trial.   They also offer a gift option for super simple gift-giving for any occasion.

8.) The Miracle Morning

If you or someone you know needs to boost productivity, then look no further than The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.  This book is a game changer to get you up earlier and in the right mindset to get stuff done all day long.  I wasn’t a morning person before I read this book so it really is a miracle worker!

9.) Charging Station Dock and Organizer

Does anyone else have multiple electronic devices with the charging cords cluttering the countertop or desk?  Enter the multi-device charging organizer.  This charging station even comes with a spot for an Apple Watch or another smartwatch.  It’s best paired with a multiport USB charger, like the Anker 6-port charger.  One ingenious customer even added sticky cord holders to hold the phone cords in place so they don’t fall back down into the bottom of the organizer.  You can check out the review with pictures to see what I’m talking about.

10.) Paper Shredder

A paper shredder isn’t a glamorous gift but it can help save you from identity theft.  While it’s best to eliminate as much paper clutter in the first place, even seemingly innocent papers, like junk mail, can have personally identifiable information that needs to be shredded before it’s trashed or recycled.
