Who wouldn’t want products that make life easier? Life is so busy and complicated that sometimes you need tools to help simplify or organize. So many products make outrageous claims about how they can help you but these products actually deliver on their promise. And as a bonus, since these products are small in size, they make perfect stocking stuffer gifts or additions to gift baskets.
1.) Travel Organizer for Electronic Accessories
Don’t haphazardly grab all the cords and other accessories for your electronics when you travel. You’ll end up with a tangled mess and won’t be able to find the right charger or USB flash drive when you need it. Instead, neatly organize it all in an electronic accessories organizer.
2.)
Purse Automatic Light
I have a pretty large bag. Despite my best efforts to organize it, it can still be a pain to try to find anything because it’s so darn dark inside. That’s where this handy automatic purse light comes in. It’s perfect for totes, satchels, laptop bags, backpacks, diaper bags and purses of all sizes. This light comes with multiple ways to attach it – via a cord or a clip.
3.) Headrest Hooks for Cars
While we are still on the topic of purses, let’s keep going with these headrest hangers for your car. It’s such a simple idea but transforms the usable space in your car. Of course, it doesn’t just work with purses. It’s also great for shopping bags, trash bags, gym bag, umbrellas, reusable water bottles with a wrist strap, kids backpacks, etc. I love that it keeps stuff off the floor and prevents passengers from needed to hold the items.
4.) Pot Clip Spoon Rest
Don’t take up valuable counter space with a spoon rest. Instead, use a pot clip spoon rest. The pot clip attached directly to the pot or pan and hold the cooking utensil in place, allowing drips to go back into the pot instead of the counter or stove. Made with silicone pads so the cookware and utensils aren’t scratched. And it’s dishwasher safe, making clean up a breeze!
5.) Portable Charger
If your smartphone battery is always running low or you’re going to be on the go all day without access to a wall charger, then you need a portable charger. This portable charger has two USB ports, meaning you can charge two devices at the same time. It also has enough battery life to charge an iPhone 8 almost five times before it needs to be recharged (it also works with most other smartphones and tablets). My husband is in sales so he’s always on the go and on the phone. A portable charger definitely makes life easier for him.
6.) Sponge and Scrubbing Pad Replacements
Sponges are useful. But let’s face it, they get pretty gross and stinky quickly. Check out these replacements that last longer.
The Peachy Clean silicone scrubber is almost 100% resistant to mold and mildew. They are guaranteed to be free from bacteria odor for 3 months. Most reviewers say the scrubber is pretty well worn after two months but that’s still a lot better than 1-2 weeks of a traditional sponge.
The Skoy Scrub is a fantastic replacement to a traditional scrubbing pad. It’s reusable and can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher. They are strong enough to handle tough grime but don’t scratch.
This Pot Scraper is a necessity for me. I’ve had it for years and use it all the time to scrape off baked on food. While the dish detergent commecials would have you believe you can clean pans with caked on food with detergent alone, I’ve never had luck with that, even in the dishwasher. I need a little extra elbow grease and the pot scraper is the answer.
7.) Multipurpose Wallet Tool
Most multipurpose tools are meant to fit in a pocket but this one is about the size of a credit card and can fit in a wallet – one less separate thing to carry around. It’s a bottle opener, box opener, eyeglass screwdriver, hex wrench, plus many other functions all in one. And because there no true blades, it should be safe to carry when flying.
8.) Yeti Bottle
So you may be wondering how a Yeti bottle is a product that makes life easier. I love it because it keeps my water super cold all day (or night) long, meaning I don’t need to constantly add ice. It will also keep your hot beverage warm. I just don’t drink hot beverages. The bottle doesn’t sweat so there won’t be in water rings to wipe up. I drink water first thing in the morning and it’s so convenient that I can fill it up at night and then drink it ice cold first thing in the morning, without needing to leave my bedroom.
I did buy a straw cap to go with my Yeti bottle since I prefer to drink from a straw.
9.) Multi-port USB Charger
This is a must have for any home with more than one cell phone or tablet. With this USB charger, you can charge up to six devices on one wall plug outlet. Pair it with this charging station organizer to neatly contain all your smartphones and tablets. This charger is one of the best products that make life easier. I’ve had mine for several years and it’s still going strong.
10.) Easy Jar Opener
I received the Jarkey as a stocking stuffer from my in-laws and I was skeptical if it would really work and if I would really use it. Previously, I always used jar grips to open stubborn jars. I couldn’t believe how simple the Jarkey makes opening vacuum-sealed jars. Seriously, it takes no physical exertion at all! This is perfect for people with arthritis but really everyone should have one. The Jarkey will make it easy to open any jars with a vacuum-seal, such as pickles, olives, jalapeno peppers, pasta sauce, some jelly jars, etc. It’s not going to work on 2-liter soda pop bottles or peanut butter jars so I think having both the Jarkey and the jar grips is the best way to go.
11.) Timers
You may be wondering why there would be a need for separate timers in the age of smartphones. Yes, the timer apps on smartphones are convenient but it can also be a distraction.
I like to use timers for a time management tactic called the Pomodoro technique (you can read more about that in Creating a Schedule). But if I use my phone timer, I can easily get distracted by checking my email, texts or social media.
To stay on task I recommend using a mechanical timer or a digital timer.
